The purpose of this competition, which was hosted by the Arita Kiln Union was to collect new ideas for future tableware in ceramics from emerging new designers. Part of their activity is to energize the ceramics industry. I proposed containers for dessert or soup in comical shapes with patterns to target the young genelation in Japan. Arita is a old kiln site in Japan where many ceramic makers are gathering to make ceramics both in traditional and mass-produce. ARITA NEW DESIGN COMPETITION Japan 2007
